Senior Social Media Strategist

The Senior Social Media Strategist promotes various client initiatives and web properties through the development, implementation, and measurement of paid social media programs. This individual utilizes the leading social platforms to deploy paid advertising opportunities, leveraging the latest offerings available. In collaboration with the planning and analytics teams, the Senior Social Media Strategist makes budget recommendations and identifies optimization opportunities for peak performance.

Specific responsibilities include:

- Social strategy development and tactical planning/buying across all social media platforms
- Participating in creation of integrated marketing plans, providing social media perspective for strategy discussion and analyzing campaign results for effectiveness and future decision-making
- Managing paid social activity across all platforms including Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, Reddit, etc. for a diverse client roster spanning several industry verticals
- Building out paid social media campaigns within native ad platforms and/or 3rd party tools, using site pixels and analytics tools to track, monitor, and report on online actions
- Monitoring campaigns and making optimization recommendations to positively impact campaign performance based on client-specific key performance indicators
- Stewarding the billing process and actualizing spend on an ongoing basis
- Monitoring competitors to determine the strategies and tactics employed, as well as identifying differentiation opportunities for agency clients
- Researching category trends and staying up-to-date on the latest developments in the social media space, suggesting new and alternative ways to leverage paid opportunities
- Researching and authoring social media-themed blogs and white papers for agency clients and new business prospects

Position Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in advertising, marketing, communications, or a related field
- 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably within an agency setting
- Advanced knowledge of social media platforms – especially FB/IG, LinkedIn, and Twitter – including evolving policies, targeting capabilities, developmental offerings, and limitations
- Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Google Analytics, including conversion tracking, goals, etc.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with ability to present confidently
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize projects
- Desire to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative agency environment
