An award-winning and rapidly expanding digital marketing agency has an immediate opening for an Organic SEO Manager. As an SEO manager, you’ll be responsible for supporting and managing a diverse portfolio of SEO programs for multiple high-profile accounts.

  • You should be well-versed in basic and intermediate SEO best practices for Google, Bing, and other search engines
  • You should feel comfortable working with web code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and should have an appreciation for responsive, mobile-friendly web design
  • You should value keyword research and understand the importance of carefully crafted page titles, meta descriptions, and written website content
  • You should be familiar with optimization practices involving disavow files, schema markup, robots.txt, page speed, and XML sitemaps
  • You should be adept at organizing and prioritizing your recommendations for presentation through email, over the phone, and in person

Requirements & Responsibilities:

  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, draw conclusions, and provide succinct recommendations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong observational and problem-solving skills
  • Comprehension and the ability to speak to current industry trends, such as Google core algorithm updates
  • Experience working with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and other analytics platforms
  • Experience using standard SEO tools, including (but not limited to) SEMrush, Majestic, Screaming Frog, DeepCrawl, and Keyword Planner
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic web development
  • Basic to intermediate experience with web design, UX/UI, and CRO
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks for a diverse portfolio of clients operating in a variety of industries
  • Effective project management skills, including a demonstrated ability to manage and track multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated with the ability to both take direction and work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum 3-5 years SEO experience – this is not an entry-level position
  • Basic to intermediate Adobe Photoshop skills are a plus
  • Experience working with WordPress, NetSuite, Magento, and Drupal are a plus
  • Experience working with Basecamp and Google Drive (Sheets, Docs) are a plus
