Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Content Strategist to join their team in Philadelphia. The Senior Content Strategist will be instrumental in ensuring that the experiences and marketing solutions we create delight customers while meeting the brand’s business goals. The right candidate will be a strong contributor in the areas of site architecture, navigation labeling and taxonomy, editorial voice, and overall content strategy. The Senior Content Strategist must have the ability to interpret and apply web analytics data to optimize and personalize websites and pages based on user behaviors. He or she must also have expertise in organic search, and inbound marketing. Finally, this role requires experience with content management systems, especially with large, complex enterprise properties.


What you’ll do

  • Lead and inspire through creativity, passion and producing amazing work
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, strategies and techniques ensuring the firm stays at the forefront of innovation
  • Drive client content strategy and marketing initiatives across channels including web, social, email and commerce
  • Lead brainstorming exercises; including concepts, campaigns and brand experience strategy
  • Conduct project research, including a content audit and gap analysis, stakeholder interviews
  • Liaise with the data and insights team to include quantitative analysis into strategic consulting
  • Facilitate workshops and other requirements-gathering meetings as necessary
  • Work closely with designers, client services and developers to develop content requirements for existing and proposed content strategies
  • Effectively and convincingly prepare and present content strategy recommendations to internal teams and client representatives
  • Utilize SEO best practices to support relevance, usability and marketing objectives by optimizing on-page content, content structures and metadata
  • Prepare detailed content matrices to define source, nature, style and specifications for every content element
  • Research, write and proof content as needed
  • Manage, mentor and direct copywriters and content editors, in-house and freelance


Who you are

  • Minimum seven years’ experience developing winning content strategies for major websites and/or digital campaigns
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
  • Understanding of agency structure and workflow
  • Strong skills in content management, including using content management systems and other web technologies preferred; Experience with Adobe Marketing Cloud, Acquia/Drupal or Sitecore solutions is a plus
  • Working knowledge of user-centered design systems such as wireframes, prototypes, comps and design specifications
  • Experience with social media and online communities preferred
  • Expert written and oral communicator with a strong knowledge of editorial standards
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
