Reporting to the Practice Leader, Performance Marketing, SEO Senior Manager is accountable for developing and overseeing execution of all SEO strategies across the company. In this position is required to show thought leadership, capable of developing innovative ways of improving rankings and search visibility globally as well as the ability to lead and advise cross functional teams on the execution of company SEO strategy. The leader should possess superb technical, communication/influential, and analytical skills with a demonstrated track record of driving large web properties to success in natural search traffic.
The SEO leader is responsible for leading and developing a world class lean SEO team to effectively position company brands within both app and web external search results. Keeping brand, values in mind, this individual will demonstrate direct link between SEO optimization and customer experience.
This position will have a strong focus on incremental value from SEO optimization in both the short and long term. This role requires strong data and technology-oriented SEO experience as well as deep analytic skills. This individual will focus on large scale SEO projects and building measurements which will help establish direct link between SEO projects/initiatives and achieving customer acquisition and revenue goals. He or she lead transformation of desktop web based SEO optimization to app (ASO, app store optimization), mobile web and video based search engines (i.e. you tube)
This role collaborates with the Marketing account lead, Interactive and IT teams , eCommerce, Merchandising, Content to determine, create and deliver compelling customer-facing content. This leader also actively creates communication platforms for evangelizing and educating about the role of SEO. In this position SEO leader focuses also on developing strong relationships with merchandising and taxonomy teams with the goal of developing internal “SEO ambassadors”. He or she is familiar and up to date with other teams’ roadmaps which may impact inadvertently SEO performance.
Additionally to the large scale SEO projects in this role the leader will develop familiarity and run ongoing audit of internal, backend merchandising, taxonomy and content asset systems to provide recommendation from SEO point of view (“out of stock” front-end rules, product attribute indexation etc.)

Job Description Details

  • Lead SEO best practices, roadmap for SEO project development and implementation
  • Prepare regular and adhoc SEO analysis and business plans (both technical and merchandising) for the business units and the Global Markets.
    • Help set SEO sales and acquisition goals for each business unit
  • In partnership with account teams build business cases for SEO investments (both resources and $)


  • Building world class framework for SEO measurement (rankings and business output metrics)
    • In partnership with analytics team and external ranking measuring vendors build set of reports and dashboards around company visibility on web and app search engines
    • Structure and align input metrics (rankings) with business outcome metrics (sales, unique visitors, NN) at the most granular level possible (i.e. merch category) to show impact from SEO projects.
    • Developing ongoing competitive SEO rank and keyword-level analysis to maintain an accurate understanding of companies standing in the search space and inform future keyword focus
    • Communicate SEO performance in easy to understand manner


  • Auditing merchandising, taxonomy, content systems and influence stakeholders to commit to improvements benefiting SEO channel
    • Have deep understanding of product creation process, inbound product data from vendors, systems hosting image and video assets
    •  Educate and partner with merchandising stakeholders to identify SEO improvements to merch and taxonomy systems


  • Leading SEO optimization roadmap for emerging SEO channels (app stores, Apple Spotlight engine, video search engines, voice search)
    • Formalize POVs and show value from non-traditional SEO platforms
    • Develop good understanding on possible SEO optimization opportunities around voice search, TV based apps (i.e. Roku, Apple TV)


  • Team / Tools Development        
    • Asses new SEO tools, vendors, automation processes, ML adoption opportunities
    • Continually train the team to maintain the most current SEO practices
    • Maintain a performance and accountability culture


  • 6+ years  SEO expertise at the enterprise level
  • Track record of managing, launching and delivering large SEO projects
  • Extensive knowledge SEO best practices and emerging SEO platforms/tools
  • 2+ years’ experience managing team
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects initiatives and delegate responsibilities. 
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and advanced analytics solutions for marketing
  • Position requires strong SEO experience as well as deep skills in leveraging site content, product data with proven experience teaching and evolving teams.
